Southern Illinois Miners News Release

MARION, Ill. - With the Final Four set in college basketball, the Southern Illinois Miners are preparing for Tuesday's championship match in the tournament to determine the best logo in minor league baseball. The Miners logo will face the winner of Monday's competition between the Clinton Lumberkings and the Wichita Wingnuts.

Winners in the 64-team tournament are determined by fan voting on Darren Rovell's Sports Biz blog on the CNBC website. Polls open at 8 a.m. CDT Tuesday morning, and voting ends at 8 a.m. CDT Wednesday morning.

"We want to thank all of our fans and the media in Southern Illinois and the region for the great job they've done in helping us get this far," Miners General Manager Tim Arseneau said. "We've been amazed by the turnout, but we need your support for one more day."

Fans can vote all day Tuesday by visiting the CNBC.com website or by following the link on the front page of www.southernillinoisminers.com.

The Miners advanced to the finals with an unprecedented voter response in Friday's Final Four match up with the Augusta GreenJackets. Big John defeated the Augusta GreenJackets logo and received 91 percent of the votes in that contest.

The Miners home opener is scheduled for Saturday, May 24 at 7:05 p.m. For the latest Miners news and updates, visit www.southernillinoisminers.com.
