Milwaukee Wave United, the WaveÂ’s A-League (outdoor) team welcomes the Virginia Beach Mariners to Uihlein Soccer Park tonight, Friday, July 9th for a 7:35 PM match. ItÂ’s a big game for both teams as Wave United (4-7-2, 14 points) and the Mariners (6-7-3, 21 points) each stand fifth in their respective conferences (Milwaukee in the Western Conference, Virginia Beach in the Eastern Conference), with the top four teams in each conference qualifying for the A-League playoffs. TonightÂ’s game is also a re-match of a previous clash on June 18th at Virginia Beach in which the Mariners rallied for four second half goals to claim a 5-2 victory. Wave United is currently riding a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) while the Mariners have won their last two. Forward Johnny Torres paces the Milwaukee attack with five goals and three assists for 13 points, while Virginia Beach is led by former MLS star Dante Washington, who is third in the league with eight goals and four assists for 20 points.

Verb Anytour at Uihlein Tonight!
Verb Anytour, a fully integrated, motivational, sports / recreational campaign targeting “tweens” (boys and girls age 9-13) will be on hand for an interactive demonstration at Uihlein Soccer Park prior to the game starting at approximately 6:30 PM.
