Millrats maintain top position in ABA Power Rankings

Indianapolis, IN -- The American Basketball Association today released its Power Rankings through Monday, December 10th and for the second straight week the Manchester Millrats have maintained the number one position by defeating the defending champion Vermont Frost Heaves. The San Diego Wildcats moved from #3 to #2 and two new teams joined the top 15 - the Beijing Aoshen Olympian and the Orange County Gladiators.
According to Brad Hester, ABA VP of Team Operations, "There are some amazingly close games. Teams with poor records are coming within a few points of defeating some very good teams. We think you'll see some new faces every week."

"The rankings include a number of criteria," added Hester. "Obviously, the record, along with the difficulty of schedule and the closeness of games, is how we determine the positions. Not unlike the BCS ratings that emphasize difficulty of schedule along with won-loss."
The Manchester Millrats pay visit to Montreal this Friday night at 7:15 pm. On Sunday the Millrats travel to Burlington, VT to face the ABA Champion Vermont Frost Heaves in the third sequel this season. Manchester won the first two on miraculous comebacks! The Millrats next two home games are Friday December 21st at 7:05 pm and Saturday December 22nd also at 7:05 pm versus the Quebec Kebs and the Boston Blizzard respectively.
