
Mill Rats with Big Bounce Back Road Win in Halifax

(Halifax, NS): The Saint John Mill Rats starting five put 106 points on the board and helped propel the team to a big bounce back road win in Halifax, 121-107. Saint John played the second of two road games this weekend in Halifax, but dropped the first.
Saint John came out much more focused and determined in this game. They shot 60% from the field, 48% from behind the arc, and 100% from the charity stripe in the first half en route to a 66-44 halftime lead. Anthony Anderson scored 20 of his 33 points in the first half.
Halifax made an energetic run cutting the lead to 16 by the fourth quarter, and as close as 9 points late in the game. But key shots by Tyrone Levett, Raheem Singleton, and Jermaine Blackburn sealed the win.
Anderson led the Mill Rats with 33 points, Tyrone Levett 22, Jermaine Blackburn 18, Doug Herring Jr 18, and Singleton 15. Jason Williams led Halifax with 26.
The Mill Rats record improves to 11-8 as they regain a narrow grip on 1st place in the Atlantic Division. Halifax falls to 4-15.
The Mill Rats with newly acquired Eric Crookshank return home for a rematch with the Moncton Miracles on New Year's Eve at 7PM Tuesday December 31st at Harbour Station.
