(Moncton, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats won an overtime shootout over the Moncton Miracles at the Moncton Coliseum, 137-130. It was the Mill Rats 5th straight win and 10th in their last 11 games.

Saint John and Moncton are locked into the 3rd and 4th seeds of the Atlantic Division playoffs which start next week.

Filling in for the injured Tyrone Levett, Darin Mency scored 25 points off the bench to tie Kenny Jones for the scoring lead for Saint John. Jeremy Williams scored 20, Johnny Mayhane 14, and Anthony Anderson 13. Shawn Vanzant led Moncton with 30.

Saint John led most of the game and looked like they would cruise, but the Miracles finished the fourth quarter on 27-18 run to send the game into overtime at 117-117. Anthony Anderson had a good look before the buzzer that went halfway down but rimmed out.

Moncton took a 124-120 overtime lead but a quick 5-0 run by Saint John regained the lead. Darin Mency's three pointer broke a 128-128 tie and gave the visitors a 3-point lead. Troy Brewer of Moncton drew a technical and the Mill Rats shot plenty of throws down the waning seconds.

Saint John improves to 17-14 while Moncton falls to 7-22.

The Mill Rats are home for their regular season finale against the London Lightning at 7PM AST at Harbour Station on Thursday February 26.
