
Mill Rats Give Kentucky the Blues

The Saint John Mill Rats gave the Kentucky Bluegrass Stallions the blues on Sunday, defeating them 113-107 before 3,750 fans at Harbour Station.
The Mill Rats broke the game open in the second quarter behind the hot shooting of Anthony Anderson, and led 65-51 at the intermission.
Saint John upped the lead to as many as 18 in the second half, and withstood a frenetic rally by the Stallions, who got within four down the stretch. Saint John free throws and a layup by Ross Demasi sealed the win. Aubrey White's deep three pointer swished harmlessly through the net before the final buzzer.
Anthony Anderson led all scorers with 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Terry Martin added 21, Marc Egerson 16, Ross Demasi 15, Dwuan Rice 14 points & 11 assists, and Steve Deluca 12. Kenny Harris led Kentucky with 22.
The Mill Rats record improves to 7-6 while Kentucky drops to 5-10.
Saint John now hits the road for a long road stretch. Friday March 11th they return to Quebec City, Thursday March 17th they travel to Halifax, and then on March 20th they will be in Kentucky for a rematch with the Stallions.
