
Mill Rats Drop First of Three Ontario Games

(Ottawa, ON): The Saint John Mill Rats dropped the first of three road games in Ontario this week, losing 112-95 to the Ottawa SkyHawks.
The Mill Rats started out trailing 22-19 at the end of the first quarter, but things began to unravel before the half. Saint John trailed 52-36 at the break.
A quick 8-0 run got the Mill Rats back in the game at 52-44, but that was short-lived. The SkyHawks reeled off a 22-4 run to put the game away.
The Mill Rats pulled within 12 with a few minutes left but were unable to close the gap.
Doug Herring Jr. led the Mill Rats with 21 points, Anthony Anderson 17, and Casey Love led with 7 Rebounds. Fred Sturdivant led Ottawa with 22.
The Mill Rats drop to 18-12 on the season while the SkyHawks improve 16-17.
Saint John faces Mississauga tomorrow and Brampton on February 7. They return to Harbour Station on Monday February 10th at 7PM for a makeup game against the Moncton Miracles.
