Military Appreciation Weekend Preview

LANCASTER, Calif. - The JetHawks continue their seven-game homestand on Thursday, May 23 as they honor those who serve and protect our country with Military Appreciation Weekend. The Inland Empire 66ers, affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, will be in town for all four games.

Special Events:

Military Get In Free: All active duty military will receive free admission for Friday night's contest courtesy of Devry University. Tickets for military veterans will be sold for only $5. Free tickets will be given to those who present valid military identification. All active duty military are encouraged to wear their uniforms to the game. They'll be honored in a special pregame announcement.

Camo Jersey Giveaway: The exciting list of 2013 giveaways continues with the JetHawks camouflage jersey giveaway. Fans can salute their hometown heroes and their hometown team by wearing these one-of-a-kind full button-down digital camo jerseys. Jerseys will be given to the first 1,000 fans through the gates. Gates open at 6:00 pm.

Weekly Promotions:

Throw 'Em Back Thursday: Military Appreciation Weekend kicks off with Throw 'Em Back Thursdays. The concessions stands at The Hangar will offer numerous discounts including beers for only $2. Hot dogs, nachos and sodas will also be solid for only $2. The JetHawks will wear their throwback black uniforms for the game.

Family in the Park Sunday: The weekend ends with a day perfect for the entire family. Family in the Park Sundays gives fans a chance to come out on to the field to play catch before the game. JetHawks players will sign autographs for fans at 1:15 pm. After the game, kids 12 and under are welcome on to the field to run the bases.

The Race for First Place: The JetHawks enter the weekend series a half a game behind the 66ers for first place in the South Division standings. The first half ends on June 17 and the first place team will clinch a playoff spot and a first round bye. Inland Empire lost two of three at home to the San Jose Giants earlier in the week. The JetHawks also lost two of three at home to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The teams have split their previous six games this season.

First pitch for Thursday, Friday and Saturday games is 7:00 pm. Sunday's game will begin at 2:00 pm. Gates open one hour before first pitch.
