ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-Minor League Baseball Charities, in conjunction with the Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminar, will be helping the Grand Strand Miracle League in Myrtle Beach, S.C., put the finishing touches on its field and facility on Friday, September 23. Members of the MiLB headquarters office, Baseball Chapel, club executives, seminar attendees and exhibitors who will be at the 34th annual event from September 23-26 will be assisting Miracle League staff with a variety of jobs, including painting, landscaping, maintenance and installations in preparation for the organization's Opening Day and 10th anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 25.

Minor League Baseball President Pat O'Conner will present the Grand Strand Miracle League with a check for $5,000 as part of the Opening Day festivities.

"Our clubs are constantly giving back to their respective communities throughout the year," said Jill Rusinko, General Manager, Minor League Baseball Charities. "This event with the Grand Strand Miracle League gives our attendees another opportunity to assist a community that is a part of our Minor League Baseball family."

"The Grand Strand Miracle League is thrilled to welcome Minor League Baseball to Myrtle Beach," said Tory Mackey, Executive Director at the Grand Strand Miracle League. "We are grateful for their willingness to help us prepare for our Opening Day of Fall Baseball- and the celebration of our 10th Anniversary of providing a baseball league for people with Special Needs in our community. It is my hope that all the Minor League Baseball volunteers will join their hearts with ours to achieve the goal of giving every child the chance to play baseball."

The "MiLB Mission: Grand Strand Miracle League" project continues the tradition of Minor League Baseball giving back to whichever community plays host to its Promotional Seminar, held annually in one of its club's cities.

The Carolina League Myrtle Beach Pelicans will serve as the host club for the Promotional Seminar. The event consists of two-and-a-half days of idea sharing and networking through presentations and social events. It gives sports professionals the chance to discuss and exchange ideas about topics such as promotions, sales, licensing, social media and stadium operations, amongst others. The Seminar also includes a trade show and Job Fair. For more information on the Promotional Seminar, please visit www.MiLBPromotionalSeminar.com.
