Mikki Moore Fith Gatorade Callup of Season

GREENVILLE, S.C., January 28 â Roanoke Dazzle forward Mikki Moore has signed a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz, making him the fifth NBDL-to-NBA "Gatorade Callup" of the season for the National Basketball Development League.
Moore's promotion to the Jazz is his second "Gatorade Callup" of the season. He was signed by the New Jersey Nets Dec. 22 and released Jan. 7. Since the NBDL began competition in November 2001, 20 players have received 27 "Gatorade Callups" to play for NBA teams.
Ronald DuPree of Huntsville, along with Ime Udoka and Tierre Brown of the Charleston Lowgators are the other "Gatorade Callups" of the 2003-04.
Moore played in and started 14 games for the Dazzle. He led the team and is currently second in the NBDL in scoring with 21.0 points per game. He also averaged a league-best 41.5 minutes and 9.0 rebounds per game.
A five-year NBA veteran, Moore has played in 154 career games, including 142 with the Detroit Pistons from 1998-2002 and has played briefly with the Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks and most recently with the Nets. He had his best season with the Pistons in 2000-01 when he played in 81 games and averaged a career-high 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds while playing 14.2 minutes per game.
