
Mike Tuomi named Player of the Week

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Mike Tuomi of the Knoxville Ice Bears, has been named the Sher-wood Hockey "Player of the Week" for the first two weeks of the season.
Tuomi, a rookie from Toronto, Canada, scored seven goals and added five assists in the first four games of the season for Knoxville. He scored four powerplay goals and had three game winners.
He currently leads the SPHL in goals scored with seven and is second in the league in points with 12, trailing teammate Kevin Swider's 15.
