February 10, 2011 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Saint John Riptide News Release
The Saint John Mill Rats have re-activated Mike Anderson in place of Tyrelle Blair for Friday night's game against the Halifax Rainmen at Harbour Station. Blair has returned to Boston to see a specialist for a foot injury, and his future with the team remains uncertain.
Tomorrow's game tips off at 7:00pm and is themed Hoops for Hope and is Pink Jersey Night. The Mill Rats will be wearing special pink jerseys for the game to support Breast Cancer Awareness. The jerseys will also be autographed by the player who wore them, and then auctioned off via silent auction over the next two home games. The proceeds of the auction will benefit the Cancer Society.
Any fans who wear pink to the game may purchase a ticket for just $5.00 as part of the promotion!
The game is also the second game of the Rogers Fan Rivalry Cup between the two Maritime clubs. Halifax won the first game 97-84 at the Metro Centre on January 29th. That game marked the debut of new Rainmen Head Coach Mike Evans. The contest involves both a head to head win-loss component and a number of fans component. So let's show Halifax how much Saint John supports its Mill Rats Friday Night!!
