Michigan Warriors Draft 7 Players in NAHL Entry Draft

This afternoon the Michigan Warriors and the rest of the North American Hockey League participated in the annual player NAHL entry draft.

Heading into the draft the Warriors needed to fill 7 spots on the team's roster from the team that went to the Robertson Cup Semi-Finals against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, during the 2013-14 season.

The Warriors selected 5 Forwards and 2 Defensemen in today's draft.

1st Rd - selection 16 Forward Derek Frentz from Mankato Minnesota

2nd Rd - selection 40 Defenseman Andrew Barbeau from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario

3rd Rd- selection 64 Forward Zed Dietrich, from Waukesha Wisconsin.

3rd Rd - selection 68 Forward Mark McGee, from Canton MI (and Flint Jr. Generals)

4th Rd - selection 88 Defenseman Konnor Roskovich, from Burlington Ontario

5th Rd - selection 110 Forward Greg Aliotta, Sterling Heights MI

6th Rd - selection 130 Forward Zach Bensinger, Detroit County Day HS.

All players will be at the Warriors main camp in July at Flint's Iceland Arena from July 17-24, 2014.
