Michaël Bournival, Guillaume Goulet and Gabriel Girard named TELUS three stars of the week
October 25, 2010 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
Forwards Michaël Bournival and Guillaume Goulet as well as goaltender Gabriel Girard today were named the TELUS three stars of the week for the period extending from October 18 to 24.
Shawinigan Cataractes winger Michaël Bournival is the first star of the week after scoring five goals and adding four assists in three Cataractes wins. Moreover, he registered an outstanding +9 rating. Bournival played his best game on Friday, collecting four goals in an 8-1 win over the P.E.I. Rocket.
Victoriaville Tigres winger Guillaume Goulet is the second star. The veteran recorded six goals in only three games while maintaining a +2 rating. Goulet registered his first hat-trick of the season yesterday in a 5-0 win over the Rimouski Océanic. Unsurprisingly, he was named the game's first star.
Shawinigan Cataractes goaltender Gabriel Girard warrants third star honours. Girard stopped 62 of the 63 shots he faced in his two starts. Girard blanked the MAINEiacs 6-0 by pushing away 31 shots on Wednesday and then he stopped another 31 shots in an 8-1 win over the Rocket on Friday. The netminder finished the week with a 0.50 goals-against-average and .984 save percentage.
