Fort Lauderdale Strikers News Release

MIAMI, April 5, 2007 - Miami FC made it two for two against the US U-17 Men's National Team Thursday evening, beating the youngsters 2-0 at IMG Academies in Bradenton, FL. Rookie Sean Cameron and Nacho Calcagno scored goals for Miami FC in the 25th and 66th minutes, respectively.

Cameron's goal was the result of a 20-yard shot directly into the lower right-hand corner, leaving the goalkeeper no chance to make the save. Nacho scored the second goal of the match and his fourth goal of preseason after a Miami FC counterattack from deep inside its own defensive half. Stephane Guillaume stole the ball and dribbled the length of the field before connecting with Didouh Rachid. Rachid dribbled gracefully to the end line and cut the ball back to a charging Nacho who one timed it into the back of the net.

Arriving earlier in the day from Brazil, Miami FC's three newest players, Júlio César, Douglas and Cristiano made their Miami FC debuts. The three players come from Desportivo Brasil, another team owned by Traffic Group.

Miami FC finishes its preseason schedule 7:00pm Tuesday, April 10 against Florida International University at the FIU Soccer Facilities.
