
Miami FC To Host The Vancouver Whitecaps

Miami, Florida, April 15, 2010 -Miami FC returns to the pitch this weekend to take on the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps. The Blues will kick off this Saturday, April 17th at 7:30pm at Lockhart Stadium.
"We are looking forward to playing Vancouver," Miami FC Head Coach, Victor Pastora said. "We have high expectations this year and playing one of the best teams in the league is a great test for us."
Miami FC is coming off a 1-1 draw in their season opener against the Rochester Rhinos at home. Paulo Araujo Jr. scored the lone goal for the Blues early in the second half to help Miami FC earn its first point of the season.
Vancouver started off on the road in a contest with the NSC Minnesota Stars, defeating the Stars 2-0 to kick off their regular season. Luca Bellisomo and Marlon Jones scored second half goals to propel the Whitecaps to victory. The Whitecaps are one of three teams to walk away with a win during the opening weekend of the 2010 USSF D-2 season.
Saturday's match, between Miami FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps at Lockhart Stadium kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Blues fans can watch this weekend's contest live via online streaming at www.miamifc.com.

Miami FC will welcome back two former players, Zurab Tsiskaridze, and Ansu Toure. Tsiskarzidze was discovered by the Miami FC coaching staff last year during open tryouts, while Toure played the second half of the 2008 USL-1 season with the Blues.... The Whitecaps will not be able to count on the services of Jonny Steele and Takashi Hirano for Saturday's match up, as the pair continue to recover from their respective knee injuries... Mouloud Akloul, a French Center Back, and Marcus Haber, a Vancouver native, who returns to the Whitecaps on loan from England's West Brom (a club that just secured promotion to the Premier League for next season) should both be available for selection this Saturday.
