Miami, July 15, 2008 - Miami FC (4-6-8) will do battle with the Montreal Impact (4-8-3) on the road in Montreal this Friday, July 18th at 8 pm (ET). The match will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel. The Blues will be looking for their first ever victory against Montreal in the club's history and will take with them their 9-game undefeated streak in the USL-1.

These two teams have met twice already this season with Miami losing the first (1-2) and tying the next one (0-0). With high expectations coming into the season, Montreal will surely try to get a positive result at home in their beautiful new stadium, Saputo Stadium, which was inaugurated this season.

In Miami's previous game against the Rochester Rhinos, the Blues played excellent attacking soccer but could not produce a goal in their 0-0 draw. Miami played without USL-1 leading scorer Alex Afonso, who missed the game due to a knee injury but players like Sean Fraser and JP Galavis performed well during Afonso's absence. It was very much a team effort in keeping the scoreless draw as the defenders, including Chris Williams and Eric Brunner, played well in front of Blues keeper Josh Saunders. Saunders added another shutout to his league leading total of 10. Alex Afonso's status for the game against Montreal is questionable.

The Impact are coming into this game at the bottom of the standings with 15 points but with high hopes. The Seattle Sounders came into Montreal on July 13th and took down the Impact 1-0 in a rainy affair. Forward #9, Rocco Placentino has been one of Montreal's best players thus far and is tied for the team lead in points with 6. He is supported by forward #10, Roberto Brown who has registered 2 goals and 2 assists in 8 games played.

Miami's next home match at Tropical Park is on July 27th against the Atlanta Silverbacks. Group tickets are currently on sale by visiting www.miamifc.com or by calling 305-728-2612. Single game tickets are available through Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-866-57-MIAMI. Watch all other USL games live on USL Live!
