Miami, FL - Miami FC departed last Friday to play a set of two friendly games "Down Under" in Australia.

The first game was held this Tuesday, October 17, as Miami FC beat Adelaide United 2 - 1 in front of a crowd of approximately 8,000 people under chilly weather conditions of 17o Celsius/63o F.

Adelaide United scored the first goal, but Romario didn't wait long to tie the match with a shot assisted by Zinho. Thirty minutes into the second half, Bruno Reis, a Brazilian player who is training with Miami FC, finally scored the victory goal for the South Florida team.

"It's been a great experience for our young team. I think we started out a bit nervous, but as the game went by we started playing our game and getting more control of the action. Overall we're very happy about being here and giving our players the opportunity to continue improving internationally, while at the same time displaying their skills in different markets", commented Luiz Muzzi, General Manager of Miami FC.

Miami FC's next friendly game will be held this Thursday, October 19, at 7:30pm local time in Australia against SA State Team.

The team is scheduled to return to its warmer Miami home on October 23.
