Miami FC Announces Goalkeeper Signings

Miami, Florida, March 18, 2010- Miami FC continues to build its roster with the signing of two young but seasoned goalkeepers, in addition to two talented midfielders. Lance Parker and Caleb Patterson will be in goal for the Blues in 2010; while Sean Cameron and local product Gabriel Hoyos add quality to an already-impressive midfield. Terms of these signings were not disclosed.

"It's great to have these two quality goalkeepers on the team. They are both very young but have the necessary experience to come in and make an immediate impact. In the midfield, Sean has played with us before and we're glad to have him re-join Miami this year. Gabriel is an exciting young prospect with international experience under his belt. This is shaping up to be an exciting 2010 roster, " said General Manager Luiz Muzzi

Lance Parker

The 24-year old goalie started his career at Missouri State University, where he was twice named All Missouri Valley Conference second team and posted a goal-against average of below one. While with the Missouri State Bears he also played with the Colorado Rapids U-23 team. Parker was signed to Chivas USA in 2008.The American goalkeeper played in the 2008 North American Superliga.

Caleb Patterson

The Tennessee-born Australian- American goalkeeper began his career in the Toowoomba Raiders junior system in Australia. In the U.S. Patterson has played for the Cleveland City Stars, the Carolina Railhawks, and the New York Red Bulls. In 2009, while playing for the RailHawks, the 22-year old goalie posted a 0.533 goal against average, and won the 2009 goalkeeper of the year award.

Sean Cameron

Cameron began his career at the University of Connecticut. Coming out of college Cameron signed with the Blues in 2007. During his previous stint with the Blues, he had over 30 appearances and got called to the Guyanese National team. Cameron's speed, ball handling and offensive prowess help round out an already dynamic offensive unit.

Gabriel Hoyos

Hoyos is a South Florida product who played his youth soccer with the Weston Fury. He then went on to play for SC Freiburg in the German Bundesliga. The 21-year-old has impressed with his technique, strength, field vision and overall high soccer-IQ during the pre-season.
