Billings Outlaws News Release
Fans are sure to be pleased to hear the Billings Outlaws, Yellowstone County Commissioners and MetraPark officials have inked a new three-year deal to continue housing the games of Montana's only professional Indoor Football League team in Billings. This deal will begin in 2011 and will continue through the 2013 season.
"This season marks the tenth year of indoor football at the Metra," stated co-owner Adam Steadman. "During that time, the Outlaws have been one of the most successful indoor teams in the nation and are the only professional team from Montana to ever win a national championship. We have accomplished that twice - in 2006 and 2009. As a result, we've doubled our season ticket holder base and the Outlaws have the largest IFL pay-per-view audience in the United States."
Not only has the team performed well inside MetraPark's arena, but the Outlaws staff have maintained a rapport with Metra's staff as well. "We love working with the Metra staff," stated Outlaws co-owner Mike Parnell. "We have a good relationship with the County Commissioners and have a loyal following from the community, so this was an easy decision that will allow us to make some long term investments and plans to continue to build this community asset." The Outlaws will begin their quest for another chance to capture the United Bowl Championship in their first regular season game against Seattle's Kent Predators this Sunday, February 28 at 4 p.m. The Lower Bowl is almost sold out but there are still General Admission tickets available. Contact the MetraPark box office at 406-256-2400 for more information.
