Mesa Miners News Release
MESA, ARIZONA âThe Mesa Miners announced today that they will auction off a ceremonial first pitch for a June home game on Ebay.
The auction, which starts at $1 dollar, is scheduled to end on May 2. Fans looking to make a bid can go to the Miners' website at www.MesaMiners.com to find a link or go directly to www.ebay.com and do a search for Mesa Miners.
"This is a unique way for someone to be able to throw out the ceremonial first pitch" said Miners general manager Becky Thielen. "Usually, the first pitch is thrown out by someone special we are honoring that day. With this Ebay auction, it gives everyone an opportunity to be that special someone."
The winning bidder will choose from selected dates in June to throw out the first pitch and also receive 4 premium tickets, their name announced on the public address system, and their name on the scoreboard.
