LEESBURG, Va. - A dominant performance on the wing that included a goal and an assist earned Ropapa Mensah the fan-voted Budweiser Man of the Match in Nashville SC's 2-0 victory over Loudoun United FC on Saturday night.

Starting next for center forward Daniel Ríos, Mensah was dangerous throughout the match linking up numerous times with Ríos inside the Loudoun half. It was Mensah who set up Ríos on a silver platter in the 19' minute with a ball across the box. The Ghanaian winger played a beautiful give and goal with midfielder Lebo Moloto and went at the defense before finding the foot of Ríos who blasted in the go-ahead goal.

Mensah put the match to bed in the 55' minute with a fantastic one versus one effort on the right side. Taking on Loudoun left back Chris Odoi-Atsem, Mensah went left and quickly back right before striking a tough angle shot that beat Loudoun keeper Earl Edwards Jr. at the far post.

With six goals and four assists in all competitions this season, Mensah is now the third-most productive offensive player for Nashville when factoring in both goals and assists behind Ríos' 20 (18 goals, 2 assists) and Moloto's 12 (3 goals, 9 assists).

It was an important 70 minutes that Mensah provided on the wing as Nashville SC was without Kharlton Belmar for the match. Belmar has been a mainstay in the Starting XI for the Boys in Gold, but Mensah filled in admirably, giving Nashville the spark it needed to move up to the top of the table.
