
Memphis Grizzlies Assign Josh Selby to NBA D-League Affiliate Reno Bighorns

NEW YORK, Dec. 17, 2012 - The Memphis Grizzlies today assigned second-year guard Josh Selby to the Reno Bighorns, the Grizzlies' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the 54th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, while Selby is the 35th NBA player to have been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.
Selby (6-2, 183, Kansas) returns to the Bighorns having played in eight games on assignment during the 2011-12 season, when he averaged 25.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 34.3 minutes.
Originally selected by the Grizzlies in the second round (49th overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft, Selby appeared in 23 games for Memphis last season, averaging 2.5 points, 1.2 assists and 8.8 minutes.
Selby is expected to join the Bighorns today and be available on Thursday, Dec. 20 when the team travels to face the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 12 p.m. ET.
