
Meijer stores welcome members of the WNBA detroit shock

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.- The entire 2008 WNBA Champion Detroit Shock team will be at Meijer stores across metro Detroit on Tuesday, June 2 to promote the 2009 WNBA season. Players and coaches will be on hand to assist customers with grocery store needs and launch the Meijer Special Ticket Offer.
The Shock team will divide up amongst four Meijer locations on Tuesday, June 2 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. acting as Meijer staff. The team is promoting the home opener on Monday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game features the raising of the 2008 championship banner and a ring ceremony prior to tip-off.
Meijer receipts can be redeemed at The Palace box office or online at www.DetroitShock.com to receive free tickets to the Monday, June 8 game or Wednesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. Shock vs. Washington Mystics game. All customers who redeem a Meijer receipt are entered in a raffle to win Shock season tickets.

The Detroit Shock team is scheduled to be at Meijer- Auburn Hills at 800 Brown Rd., Auburn Hills, MI 48326, Meijer- Allen Park at 3565 Fairland Blvd., Allen Park, MI 48101, Meijer- Madison Heights at 1005 East 13 Mile Rd., Madison Heights, MI 48071 and Meijer- Flint at 2474 Hill Rd., Flint, MI 48507.
