Hawaii Mega Force News Release
Honolulu, HA. Orrys Williams, owner and General Manager of the ABA Hawaii Mega Force professional basketball team today announced his coaching staff.
George Gilmore was named Head Coach. George attended Chaminade University in Hawaii and was the leading scorer in the nation in 1993/1994. An outstanding player, he played eight successful seasons as a professional in Europe before returning to Hawaii.
Clay Crockett was named Assistant Coach. Clay was a very successful coach for Kamehameha School in Hawaii for over 30 years and won many basketball championships. He knows how basketball should be played; he is well loved and respected by coaches, players and fans throughout Hawaii.
Williams commented, "We are blessed to have these two fine individuals and coaches as part of the Hawaii Mega Force. Our tryout camp is scheduled for July 18th and July 19th; we are getting players from the mainland, Hawaii and throughout Asia - and should have a very unique team with a definite international flavor. Robert and Clay are the perfect combination to create an outstanding team from this fabulous mix of talent we have coming in. We're excited."
