Hawaii Mega Force News Release
Honolulu, HA. The Hawaiian Islands will be jumping on Monday, July 18th and Tuesday, July 19th when the ABA Hawaii Mega Force holds its first Open Tryout for players in Hawaii. According to Orrys Williams, team owner, "You'd be surprised at the tremendous talent we have here; I'm talking outstanding players from a number of different nations who have played here and chosen to reside here. Hopefully we can get them to come to the tryout camps, show their skills and become part of the Mega Force."
Williams continued, "Joe Newman, ABA CEO, told me that many of the mainland teams are eager to include Hawaii in their schedules for a couple of reasons - first, because everyone loves to come to Hawaii and second because they think we'll be easy. Not so. We plan to have one of the stronger teams in the ABA; there is great talent here - and while we know the visiting teams will have a wonderful time here enjoying the beauty and charm of Hawaii - they won't have easy games."

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
