Seattle Sounders News Release
Sounder fans here is your opportunity to meet and get autographs from former Cuban National team member, a future Major League Soccer star - but most importantly, current Sounder Forward Maykel Galindo along with his teammate Santa Maria Rivera at SPORT Restaurant on Saturday, August 26th from 12-1pm.
The Seattle Sounders and SPORT Restaurant will give away 100 tickets to an upcoming Sounders game to the first 100 people.
SPORT Restaurant is located in downtown Seattle across the street from the Space Needle. The restaurant itself is in the Fisher Plaza building. There is plenty of parking around the restuarant, there's a garage below the restaurant and some accross the street. If you park in the garage you can have your parking validated inside Fisher Plaza.
Here is the address of SPORT Restaurant:
140 4th Ave N
Seattle, WA 98109
Galindo has played in five matches since returning from fractured facial bones in early May. With Galindo on the field the Sounders are 4-1-0. The former Cuban National team member has scored two goals and has three assists in five matches. His speed and smooth touch cause nightmares for opposing defenses. Galindo joined the Sounders late in the 2005 season and was instrumental in the Sounders championship season.
Rivera won an NCAA National Championship with Seattle University in 2004, and is in his first professional season with the Sounders in 2006. In 11 appearances he?s played almost 200 minutes and has deadly accuracy from the left side.
