Medina joins SkyChiefs Radio Broadcast Tonight

Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse SkyChiefs announced today that Will Medina will join Greg Tobben on the radio broadcast for tonight’s game vs. the Norfolk Tides on Talk Radio 1390 AM WFBL.

Medina is a graduate of SUNY Oswego. After an internship at NBC Sports, Will worked at WMBCTV 63 in New Jersey as a Sports Anchor/News reporter. Will then became the Sports Anchor/Director/Producer for Cablevision in West Nyack, NY. After three years in West Nyack, Will Transferred to Cablevision of Norwalk, CT. During his 6 years at Cablevision, Will hosted and produced a weekly half-hour sports show and many live college and high school sporting events.

”Will does a great job of covering the SkyChiefs for News 10 Now and we are pleased to have him join the radio broadcast for tonight’s game,” said SkyChiefs General Manager John Simone. “The benefit of having Time Warner Sports live television broadcast for Thursday home games is two-fold in that helps us to promote the team in the coverage area of Time Warner and it also allows us to provide local talent such as Will an opportunity to be on our radio broadcast.”

Regular Play-By-Play radio announcer Bob McElligott will handle the Play-By-Play duties for the live television broadcast on Time Warner Sports Channel 26. McElligott will be joined on the television broadcast by former Chiefs pitcher Steve Grilli. Grilli pitched for the Syracuse Chiefs during from 1978-81 and pitched 69 games in the Major Leagues with the Detroit Tigers from 1975-77 and one game for the Toronto Blue Jays in 1979. The game can be seen live on Time Warner Sports Channel 26 at 7:00 PM.
