
McMichael, Richards Earn NLL Player of the Week Nods

EVERETT, Wash. - Washington Stealth transition player Mitch McMichael and goaltender Tyler Richards earned National Lacrosse League Player of the Week honors for their performances in Saturday's 13-6 home win over the Colorado Mammoth.
McMichael was honored by the NLL for the second time this season after recording two goals and four loose balls in Saturday's contest. In Week 1, the Port Perry, Ontario native was among three Stealth players to win the awards.
Richards was named Defensive Player of the Week by the NLL after recording 51 saves on 57 shots and one assist in Saturday's contest. After the sixth week of the NLL season, the Coquitlam, British Columbia native ranks first in Goals Against Average (10.01), fourth in Saves (208) and is tied for third in Wins (3).
Other NLL Player of the Week recipients for Week 6 include Rochester Knighthawks forward Cody Jamieson, who was named Offensive Player of the Week, and Minnesota Swarm transition player Tyler Hass, who was named Transition Player of the Week. The NLL Player Awards are determined by a weekly vote of the league's general managers and head coaches.
The Stealth (4-3) is on the road this Friday, February 15 when it takes on the Edmonton Rush in a 6 p.m. PST start at Rexall Place in Alberta. Washington returns home Saturday, Feb. 23 for a matchup with West Division rival Calgary Roughnecks. Game time at Everett's Comcast Arena is 6:45 p.m. PST.
