McDonough Signs with NFL's Redskins

Portland Thunder News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thunder defensive lineman Jake McDonough will be taking his talents to the nation's capital - as of Wednesday, he's a member of the Washington Redskins.
"We're excited for Jake," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "Any time you can see one of your players get that call to play in the NFL, it's great. Luckily for us, we have a lot of talented players along the defensive line and they understand it's time for the next man to get up there and wreak havoc on the Rattlers."
This is the third time McDonough has signed with an NFL team since becoming a member of the Thunder - he was a member of the Indianapolis Colts during their postseason run in 2013-14, and spent the middle of the AFL season with the New York Jets.
The Thunder will play the first playoff game in Portland's AFL history on August 3 at 3 p.m. in Phoenix, Ariz., as they take on the No. 1 seed Arizona Rattlers. The Thunder will have a watch party for the game at The Fields Bar and Grill in the Pearl District. The game will be televised on CSNNW, streamed on ESPN3 and aired on both 750 AM and 102.7 FM.
