Maywood Buzz Trump Las Vegas Aces in Alaska Dare To Dream Tournament

Fairbanks, AK - The Maywood Buzz knew that after the first game of the Alaska Dream Challenge when the Alaska Dream beat the #4 ranked San Francisco Rumble 139-113 that they would be moved up from the #5 spot with a win over the Las Vegas Aces. In the first 3 minutes of the basketball game the Buzz raced out to the a 14 - 7 lead and never looked back. After a great first quarter scoring 39pts the Buzz only managed to score 9pts in the first 8:30 of the 2nd quarter, but went on a huge run the last 3 1/2 minutes to lead by 19pts, 60-41. Then the 2nd half started and the Buzz went on and finished off the Aces by a score of 119-107. The Buzz was lead by 2008 ABA All-Star Guard, Ken Wright with 31pts, Isaac Burton with 20pts, Joey Saavedra 18pts and Wesley Stokes with 17pts. The Las Vegas Aces was led by Lou Kelly with 28pts and Johnny McClinton 16pts.

In game #1 Alaska Dream was lead by Marques Echols with 28pts and Jarmiah Ward 24pts. The Rumble was led by Derek Foster 26pt and Smith with 20pts.

3:00pm Maywood Buzz vs. Alaska Dream 5:30pm San Francisco vs. Las Vegas Aces
