Mayhem Trade for Defenseman David Watt

MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced on Wednesday afternoon the acquiring of David Watt from the Columbus Cottonmouths in exchange for future considerations. Watt will report to the team on Thursday morning.

Watt, 25, has played seven games this season for Columbus and has scored two goals. Prior to his time in Columbus, the 6-2, 168 pound from Duchess, Alberta, Canada spent one game for the Okotoks Drillers in the Chinook Hockey League in 2014-2015 and 26 games for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association in 2012-2013, as well as time in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and the Western Hockey League.

"David will bring defensive depth to our team," said Kerr. "He's a defensive-minded defenseman who moves the puck well, and he will help us on the penalty kill."

The Macon Mayhem return home on Friday, November 25th against the Fayetteville FireAntz and Saturday, November 26th against the Columbus Cottonmouths.
