OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tavares Woodley, Marion Mayhem

The Florida International product helped his team to one of the biggest wins in franchise history on Saturday night in Marion. Woodley and the Mayhem upended previously unbeaten Fort Wayne 39-33 in overtime at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Marion, Ohio.

Woodley went 21-of-32 for 188 yards and four touchdowns through the air and added a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. He hit Maurice Douse for the game-winning 19-yard touchdown aerial, catapulting Marion into sole possession of first place in the Eastern Division.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Bryceson Lawrence, Marion Mayhem

The Marion, Ohio native was a force on the defensive side of the ball for the Mayhem on Saturday night. Lawrence, who graduated from nearby River Valley High School, helped the Mayhem to a 39-33 overtime triumph over Fort Wayne at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Marion, Ohio.

Lawrence racked up 13.5 tackles, including 10 solo takedowns and a tackle for loss, and had two pass breakups on the night. In overtime, he broke up a pass on a Fort Wayne third down and recorded a solo tackle on the subsequent fourth-down play to force a turnover on downs by the Freedom.

Lawrence won this week's defensive award after the fans of the CIFL chose him over Chicago defensive back Sidney Lewis in a vote conducted on the CIFL Fan Forum.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Eric Schnatz, Marion Mayhem

Schnatz's right leg helped the Mayhem move into sole possession of first place in the Eastern Division. He kicked two field goals, including the game-tying FG that forced overtime, en route to a Marion 39-33 overtime victory at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Marion, Ohio.

Schnatz nailed a 24-yard field goal near the end of the first half to give his team a six-point lead at the break. He then calmly booted a 25-yarder on an untimed down at the end of regulation to force an overtime period. He also finished three-for-four on extra-point attempts for the Mayhem.
