Shreveport-Bossier 9, Lincoln 7
The defending champion Shreveport-Bossier Captains rolled out to a 6-1 lead after three innings and would hang on late to defeat the Lincoln Saltdogs 9-7. Captains 2B Jeff Hulett (Pictured) went 3-for-4 with three RBI while five other players had two hits apiece. Shreveport-Bossier starter Richard Salazar notched his first win of the season allowing two runs on five hits in six innings of work. Lincoln leadoff hitter Blake Gailen had three hits in the losing effort.
