
Mavericks' Training Camp Schedule and Upcoming Promotions Announced

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri- The Missouri Mavericks announced Monday the Central Hockey League (CHL) team's schedule for the upcoming training camp and special events throughout the month of October.
The Mavericks will begin their third training camp on Oct. 10 at Independence Events Center, but fans will have a chance to meet the team prior to the official opening of training camp. The Mavericks Party on the Patio at Red Robin will take place this Thursday, Oct. 6 from 4-9 p.m. Mavericks' players, coaches and Mac will be available to meet and greet and sign autographs. Mac will be in attendance from 4-5 p.m. and the coaches and players will be on hand from 6-8 p.m. Red Robin will provide food and drink specials on burgers, brats and beverages. Red Robin is located on Highway 40 directly south of Independence Events Center.
The Mavericks Fan Club is hosting their second annual golf tournament this Friday, Oct. 7 at Drumm Farm Golf Club. For more information, please visit, www.MissouriMavericksFanClub.com.
The Mavericks training camp will officially begin on Monday, October 10 at Independence Events Center and select practices will be open to the public. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Oct. 10-12 the Mavericks will have practice open to the public from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Fans are asked to enter through the community ice rink for all public practices.
The Mavericks will then host an intrasquad game on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. at Independence Events Center. The event is free and open to the public, however the Mavericks are asking for donations for Community Services League at the door. Fans are asked to bring a donation of cash, canned food or a new toy for Community Services League's Christmas Store.
Rib Crib will host a Season Launch Party on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 6-8 p.m. Mavericks' players, coaches, Filly Spirit Squad and Mac will be in attendance and will be the final event with the team until the Mavericks home opener on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Independence Events Center. Rib Crib will be offering food and drink specials including all-you-can-eat ribs. Rib Crib is located just east of Independence Events Center.
The Mavericks will begin their third season in the Central Hockey League on Oct. 21 against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in Hidalgo, Texas. Missouri will play six road games before the team returns home on Nov. 5 against the Wichita Thunder at 7:05 p.m. at Independence Events Center.
The Mavericks play their home games at the state-of-the-art Independence Events Center where parking is always free.
