Mavericks Enhance Fan Experience for 16-17 Season

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Missouri Mavericks announced today that they have implemented significant changes designed to enhance the fan experience during the 2016-17 season.

"Mavericks season ticket holders are the lifeblood of our organization. We've listened to feedback and made changes that we believe will make the fan experience more enjoyable," said Mavericks General Manager Brent Thiessen.

The first change fans will notice is that the Mavericks will have a different look to them this year. During the first half of the season, when the Mavericks wear white at home, they will don a brand-new white jersey that features a stylized block "M" on the front with orange and blue trim down the sides and on the elbows. The right shoulder patch features the New York Islanders logo while the left shoulder patch features the Mavericks' alternate horseshoe logo.

The Mavericks' black and orange jerseys have been updated, as well. The Islanders primary logo will appear on the right shoulder of each jersey and the horseshoe logo will appear on the left. The vertical piping on the chest and back has been thinned for a more streamlined look while the sides are solid orange and solid black. Fans who are looking to purchase the new jerseys will be able to at the Top Shelf Team Store from 11:00 a.m. until end of game on game days. The store will no longer close for an hour on the day of a game.

"We are really excited about our new look. These jerseys have a clean, sharp style and the "M" on the front symbolizes how proud we all are to represent the Mavericks," added Thiessen.

In addition to the new jerseys, the Mavericks revealed today two changes involving when fans can get into Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. First, the Mavericks' eight Friday home games will now begin at 7:35 p.m., which will allow fans more time to comfortably arrive at the games. Secondly, season ticket holders will be allowed into the arena one half hour prior to the general public and the Presidents Club will be open to serve them.

Season ticket holders will also receive three guaranteed giveaway items, while supplies last, as part of their season ticket package. The benefit is valid for every seat purchased in an account. Please call the Mavericks ticket department for further details.
