Maulers release schedule

Montgomery Bears News Release
The Montgomery Maulers will open their 2006 season March 18 at Monroe, Louisiana. The Maulers first home game of the season is March 25 against Charlotte, North Carolina. The Maulers home arena is Garrett Coliseum on Federal Drive.
The complete home schedule for the Maulers is as follows;
March 25, Charlotte, N.C.,
April 1, Fayetteville, Ark.,
April 15, Chattanooga, Tn.,
May 6, West Palm Beach, Fl.,
May 13, Beaumont, Tx.,
June 3, Fayetteville, Ark.,
June 12, Chattanooga, Tn.
All games are on Saturday night except the final home game June 12, which is a Monday night.
Kickoff is 7:00 PM. The gates will open at 6:00 PM.
The Maulers of the National Indoor Football League Atlantic Central Division will have two expansion teams in their three team division, the Tennessee River Sharks of Chattanooga and the Arkansas Stars of Fayetteville.
Owner Jamie LaMunyon said. "That sounds like we should have smooth sailing in our division but remember we were division champs in our expansion year so never under estimate a new team."
The Maulers will hold their second player tryout January, 21 at Robert E. Lee High School. Registration will begin at 9:00AM. The tryout is open to all athletes. Participants should bring both gym and turf shoes for the workout. There is a $50 tryout fee.
Assistant Head Coach Mike Williams said. "We hope to go into camp with about 40 players and cut down to probably 30 by the third or fourth day." Maulers camp will start in late February.
