Matt Ustaski Selected in NHL Draft

Township of Langley, BC - Langley Rivermen forward Matt Ustaski had a dream fulfilled Saturday being selected in the seventh round, 192nd overall, by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2014 NHL Draft.

The 6'6" 225 pound centre finished his second season in the BCHL with 49 points and a team leading 29 goals in 54 games. The 20 year-old Illinois native also led the Rivermen in playoff scoring with 15 points (7G, 8A) in 12 games.

Ustaski becomes the second ever Rivermen player to be selected to the NHL following Evan Campbell who was chosen by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round of the 2013 Draft.

Ustaski is set to begin his college career this fall as he joins the University of Wisconsin Badgers.
