American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

(NASHUA, NH - April 9, 2008) - Matt Leite, a 2007 Honors graduate of Franklin Pierce University, was recently hired by the Nashua Pride as the Manager of Media and Community Relations. Leite will also serve as the team's play-by-play announcer, taking over the microphone from Ken Cail, the longtime voice of the Pride.

"I am very excited to be a part of the Pride," Leite said. "Nashua is a great city and the organization has a lot of enthusiasm and I believe I can add to that. I am very happy to have this opportunity in my career."

Leite brings plenty of experience to the Pride in both radio and media relations. While a student at Franklin Pierce, he worked in the Ravens' Athletics Department and was awarded the Marlin Fitzwater Medallion for his excellence in mass communication.

The Manchester, N.H. native is no stranger to being behind the microphone. Leite is the featured play-by-play voice on "Eye on the Dream", a Comcast Sports New England documentary series. He also served as the voice of the Keene Swamp Bats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. This past summer, he was the voice of the Harwich Mariners. The Mariners are a part of the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League, long considered the top collegiate summer league.

Leite perfected his play-by-play voice as a student. He made two trips to the NCAA Division II College World Series in Montgomery, AL, where he broadcast the games for Franklin Pierce. The former student of Red Sox radio announcer, Joe Castiglione, brings plenty of radio experience to the Pride as well, having worked with the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL and also with WGAM and WSMN radio in Nashua and WTPL radio in Bow.

The Nashua Pride Professional Baseball Club, entering its 11th season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment. The 2007 Can-Am League Champions will be participating in its third year of play in the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball.
