Rio Grande Valley FC Toros News Release
EDINBURG, Texas - After a short road trip to California, Rio Grande Valley FC (1-2-0) returns to H-E-B Park to host a derby match against San Antonio FC (2-0-0). The matchup will be live nationally on ESPN+ and locally on Somos El Valle channel 5.2.
RGV FC:
Despite dropping two hard-fought matches on the road, the Toros remain confident of their game and look to impose a difficult match against San Antonio FC this Sunday, March 27. It is no secret that both clubs play harder and want to earn three points. RGV FC is host to the first official meeting of the 2022 USL Championship season between the sides.
Possession and control of pace has been a key asset to the Toros' tactical play, but they have seen shortcomings on the offensive end in created chances and shots on goal. Frank Lopez continues to lead the team with two goals, while rookie Dylan Borczak has made some noise as a physical and shifty complimentary piece to Lopez.
Look for some creative play style and gritty clashes on the pitch as RGV looks to dominate in their home turf.
