Here are five things to know for Sunday's Leagues Cup 2026 Phase One match between Nashville SC and Atlético de San Luis at GEODIS Park:
Sunday's contest against Atlético de San Luis is the second of three Leagues Cup Phase One matches for Nashville SC in eight days at GEODIS Park and the third of eight August fixtures for the Boys in Gold over a 29-day span. NSC is 9W-2L-3D with a plus-19 goal differential at the Castle in 2026 across all competitions (MLS, Concacaf Champions Cup, Leagues Cup).
Both Nashville SC and Atlético de San Luis enter Sunday's match with zero points after their Leagues Cup openers. During Phase One, teams are awarded three points for a regulation win, two points for a shootout win and one point for a shootout loss with the top four teams from each league advancing to the Quarterfinal Round.
The Boys in Gold have not lost back-to-back matches in 2026 and are 5W-2L-4D following a draw or loss across all competitions (MLS, Concacaf Champions Cup, Leagues Cup).
With the first-career starts for goalkeeper Xavier Valdez, midfielder Charles-Emile Brunet and attacker Elias Saad in Nashville SC's Leagues Cup opener, 25 players have started a match for the Boys in Gold in 2026.
After its stretch of three Leagues Cup games in eight days, Nashville SC will resume MLS play vs. Inter Miami CF on Saturday, August 15 at GEODIS Park.
