SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Friday, October 2, 2015) - This will be the Scorpions' second to last home game of the season with the final match at Toyota Field coming October 24 against New York. The game against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers looks to be a high scoring affair with the two teams coming in having scored a combined 21 goals in their last five games.

The Strikers are coming off back-to-back losses against the top two teams in the NASL combined standings (Ottawa and Minnesota). The Scorpions, meanwhile, came from two goals down to earn a 3-3 draw against the Atlanta Silverbacks this past Saturday.

Both teams are still in the playoff hunt with the Scorpions sitting on 26 points in the combined table and the Strikers only three points out of fourth place with 31 points. There are six games left in the 2015 NASL Fall Season, and a possible 18 points left for the Scorpions.

Scorpions defender Nana Attakora scored his first goal as a Scorpion in the 3-3 draw against the Atlanta Silverbacks. He now joins Adrian Cann and Milton Palacios as defensive players who have scored goals this season.

Marvin Chávez also added to his goal total as a Scorpion Saturday against the Silverbacks. His four goals in 2015 put him a tie for third place on the team with Billy Forbes. Chávez and Rafael Castillo combined to score six of the Scorpions' eight goals in the month of September.

Fort Lauderdale's Stéfano Pinho continues to lead the league with 12 goals scored in 2015, but since his hat trick August 29 against Indy Elven, Pinho has not been able to find the back of the net. The Scorpions' Omar Cummings is still second in the NASL Golden Boot race with 10 goals on the season, but he also has not scored in over a month.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night and the game will be streamed online via on ESPN3.
