Fresno FC News Release

MATCH PREVIEW

The Foxes will host Swope Park Rangers in the two clubs' first-ever meeting in the USL on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Chukchansi Park. The Foxes aim to rebuild after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Sacramento Republic FC at home during the week, and make a playoff push home as

they've hovered at 11th place for the past several weeks. It's a matchup for Fresno to do so, with Swope Park Rangers sitting in fifth place at 7W-3L-4D. The Rangers are coming off a big USL win, beating front-runner Real Monarchs (10W-3L-1D). The Rangers won 3-2, receiving goals from Colton Storm, Matheus Silva and Tyler Blackwood. The Rangers are led offensively by Hadji Barry's five goals, as they are without leading scorer Kharlton Belmar, whose loan spell from MLS Sporting Kansas City came to an end. The Rangers have produced 118 shots this season, well below Fresno's 157, but have made their chances count with a league third-best conversion rate of 18%. The Foxes' conversion rate is 11.5% with winger Jemal Johnson scoring a team-best six goals. The Rangers have also distributed the most passes in the USL, at 7,447 compared to Fresno's 5,800, despite playing one less game than Fresno.
