September 16, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Fresno FC News Release
FRESNO - Fresno FC plays host to first-place Orange County SC in a do-or-die matchup for the Foxes, who look to remain contenders for the USL Cup Playoffs. The Foxes have home-field advantage on their side when they face Orange County, which took the first meeting between the clubs with a 3-0 result in Irvine. Now at Chukchansi Park, the Foxes will look to extend their five-match unbeaten streak at home where they've conceded just three goals over the last 630 minutes played and picked up four clean sheets in that span. To do so, the Foxes defense will need to lock down the threatening duo of Thomas Enevoldsen (16 goals, 8 assists) and Michael Seaton (10 goals, 5 assists). Enevoldsen leads the Western Conference with 16 goals and will hope to lead Orange County as they are one win away from clinching a spot in the Western Conference playoffs. Defensively, Orange County is anchored by goalkeeper Andre Rawls who has seven clean sheets this season with 72 saves between the sticks.
DEFENDING THE DEN
The Foxes will try their best to defend their den Sunday evening against Orange County SC. Fresno FC is unbeaten in five straight matches at Chukchansi Park, including four wins. The home-field advantage has seen Fresno FC outscore opponents 25 to 12, with just three of those goals allowed since June 2nd (630 minutes).
