MASL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK FOUR

KANSAS CITY (Nov 25, 2016) - The Major Arena Soccer League announced today that Turlock Express defender Jose Martinez was named the Player of the Week for Week 5. The award is the first for Martinez and the first for Turlock this season.

The Turlock Express upset the San Diego Sockers at home this weekend, in large part due to the leadership of Martinez. The defender had 3 blocks against the high powered Sockers offense, and then helped out offensively with a goal and two assists.

Turlock hits the road against Pacific Division rival Ontario Fury tonight at 10:05 p.m. ET. Martinez hopes to lead his team towards their first road victory of the season against the Fury. Tonight's game, like all MASL games this season, can be found on the league's newest channel, MASLtv

The MASL was formed in 2014 by teams from the Professional Arena Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League.
