Marx Norén Lands on All-NAHL, All Division Teams
May 13, 2023 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Minnesota Wilderness News Release
Minnesota Wilderness forward Kevin Marx Norén landed on two end-of-season all star teams this week.
The NAHL announced its 2022-23 awards, with the divisional honors unveiled Wednesday followed by the league awards Thursday.
Marx Norén was among three forwards selected by NAHL coaches to the league's All-NAHL 2nd team, and the All Midwest Division team.
The veteran from Knivsta, Sweden, becomes the first Wilderness forward ever to land a spot on an all-NAHL squad, and the first of all positions to be named to an all-league team since Grant Docter was named as a defenseman to the All-NAHL 1st team for 2020-21. He's also the first forward to be named to an all-division team since Aaron Myers landed on the all Central Division squad in 2018-19.
This season, Marx Norén set new Wilderness single-season records in regular season goals (33) and power play tallies (14). He also led the league in power play goals while his 34 goals (with 1 scored for Fairbanks before being acquired by Minnesota) tied for the league lead.
The Wilderness resume their post-season this weekend with home games in Cloquet Friday and Saturday nights. Games 3 and 4 of the Midwest Division Finals vs. the Wisconsin Windigo will commence at 7:15 p.m. both nights.
