Marshals Fall To Strykers 2-1

Last night the Texas Marshals tied the Woodlands Strykers in the top of the 8th inning to bring the score to 1-1. The Strykers scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the inning, ultimately winning by a final score of 2-1 from Strykers Stadium.

Marshal's starter, Seth Jordan, earned the loss. He pitched eight innings and gave up two runs (one earned) while striking out three. For the Strykers, Bryce Tomlin earned the victory coming in relief in the seventh inning. Mason Mize earned the save, pitching 1-1/3 innings and striking out one.

For the Marshals, Connor McMann and Tyler Bates each had two hits. For the Strykers, Justin Braziel had two hits and a RBI.

Tonight the same two teams meet in the second game of their two-game series. Game time is 7:05 pm.
