Marshals Announce Transactions

Rapid City Marshals News Release
The Marshals have completed one week of training camp and are now in the second week of their three-week-long Arena Football League camp. Several player transactions have taken place as the Marshals' Coaching Staff continues to build their final roster.
AFL rules allow each team to have up to 35 players during training camp. The Marshals have consistently maintained approximately 30 during camp this year. The first release of the season was two days prior to the start of camp when Antwan Smith, former Marshals player and defensive coordinator asked to be released do to work related obligations.
As of Tuesday morning, April 9th the Marshals have released the following additional players:
Chris Thomas II
Ra'Zhan Reed
Dez Donalson
Howard Newsome III
New player contracts were offered to the following players:
Rodney McGraw (no college information available at the time of this story) - WR/DB
Shaun Lewis, University of Houston - WR/DB
Tierre Turner, Davenport University - OL/DL
There's less than two weeks away from the Marshals preseason scrimmage against the Rapid City War Eagles, and then final roster cuts will be made prior to the start of the AFL regular season. The Marshals will be able to carry 24 players into the regular season. They will have 21 active weekly players and three reserves.
