
Marlies Fall 4-1 in Game Four

The Grand Rapids Griffins defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 4-1 tonight at the Van Andel Arena in Michigan. The Griffins now hold a 3-1 series lead in the Western Conference Semi Final.
Carter Ashton's second goal of the playoffs would open the scoring at 18:05 of the first period. Grand Rapids notched the only goal of the middle frame when Tomas Jurco scored on the powerplay at 5:15. Landon Ferraro would notch the eventual game winning goal at 10:13 of the third period. The Griffins added two empty net tallies to secure a 4-1 victory.
Toronto and Grand Rapids will play game five tomorrow night at the Van Andel Arena. Puck drop is 7 p.m. The Marlies will host games six and seven if necessary at Ricoh Coliseum on May 21 and 22. To purchase tickets, please call the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825) or visit marlies.ca.
