Jupiter, FL - LHP Brandon Waddell (W, 4-0) tossed six scoreless innings and was perfect through five as the Bradenton Marauders (10-12) cruised past the Jupiter Hammerheads (9-13) on Friday night at Roger Dean Stadium. Waddell struck out six of the first 12 batters and seven of the first 15. Arturo Rodriguez spoiled Waddell's no-hit bid with a leadoff single in the sixth.
Bradenton capitalized on severe wildness from Jupiter early, then piled on late for their most lopsided win of the season. Five different Marauders had multi-hit games, led by 1B Chase Simpson's 3-for-5 night. Bradenton's 14 hits were a season high.
RHP Luis Heredia fired two scoreless innings. RHP Nick Neumann tossed a scoreless ninth.
Waddell has won four straight starts and has trailed in only one of his five starts this season. He has allowed zero runs in three of his five starts.
